Playing Nintendo Wii With a Defibrillator

... is not as easy as I thought. Today, my fiancee and I bought the Wii Fit set. While standing on the Wii Fit Balance Board full of anticipation, she told me to mind my defibrillator. She was right. The Wii manual states:
"The Wii console, Wii Remote and Wii Balace Board can emit radio waves that can affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers.
+ If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use the Wii console, the wii Remote or Wii Balance Board without first consulting your doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device.
+ Do not operate the Wii console, the Wii balance Board or Wii Remote within 25cm (10 inches) of a pacemaker."

Well, I was using the Wii for quite some time now and nothing happened. But I wrote an e-mail to my cardiologist today to find out what he has to say.
